POST GRADUATE EXAM PATTERN

  • THEORY EXAMINATION:

 There are four theory papers

PAPER I:      Applied Basic sciences.

PAPER II:     Obstetrics including social obstetrics and diseases of new born

PAPER III:    Gynaecology

PAPER IV:    Recent Advances in Obstetrics and Gynaecology

 

PRACTICAL EXAMINATION

OBSTETRICS

  Clinical cases

  • Long case  : 1 case
  • Short case / spot case: 1 case

 Viva includes

  1. Instruments
  2. Pathology specimens
  3. Drugs and Xrays, Sonography etc.,
  4. Dummy pelvis

GYNAECOLOGY

 Clinical cases

  • Long case : 1 case
  • Short case/ spot case : 1 case

 Viva includes

  1. Instruments
  2. Pathology specimens
  3. Drugs and X-rays, Sonography etc.
  4. Family planning.

 

UNDER GRADUATE EXAM PATTERN

There is internal & external (University) examination.

  • Internal Examination are 3 in number, out of which, one is preliminary exam before the university exam.
  • It is conducted in form of theory, practical, viva-voice, bedside case & ward leaving examination.
  • It carries weightage of 20% in main (External) exam.

 

  • THEORY:
  • Two theory papers
  • Obstetrics and Gynaecology

 

  • PRACTICAL EXAMINATION
  •  Assessed by set of two external & two internal examiners.
